SUCCESS STORIES.
KEEPING IT REAL.
Since 1989 Houston-based Aesbus has provided content design and development services for print, multimedia, and web delivery to Hewlett-Packard Company.
The extensive cross-media document sets for HP product lines—which range from marketing brochures and setup/installation posters to user guides, technical reference manuals, QuickSpecs, and more—help users understand how to use the hardware or software, as well as assist with HP marketing, sales, and most notably, reducing technical support costs.
In some cases, documentation is a critical component for compliance with certain regulations or other legal requirements. But in all cases, user documentation should be at the core of a company's content strategy.

Rubik's Cube
In 1974, a young Professor of architecture in Budapest (Hungary) named Erno Rubik created an object that was not supposed to be possible. His solid cube twisted and turned—and still it did not break or fall apart.
Just as the inventor of Rubik's Cube was always looking for new, more exciting ways to present concepts and abstract information, a vast community of information developers using new authoring technologies for ever-evolving media platforms strive to design and create engaging content for different audiences, user needs, and levels of interactivity.
User documentation is about unscrambling, pivoting, and positioning layers of complex information to create learning patterns and paths for better understanding of the information with simplicity, clarity, and accuracy—as well as consistency and dynamism.
